Bootleggers Lodge - Sofia

Bootleggers Lodge is a perfect extension of the elevated supper club vibes at Bootleggers. We've dined a number of times at Bootleggers, yet only recently discovered the Lodge while staying in Tomahawk. We were able to explore the surrounding area (including Minocqua) and get out on the lake during the day, and then retreat to our beautiful room and all the amenities at night. Highly recommend!

The resort is beautiful, the room was also and the restaurant excellent. The food was delicious and the service great. Mari and Mark are fantastic people and do a wonderful job. They were very helpful and interested in us as people not just resort guests. I am a relative of the original owner Phil Kilinski and I believe he would be proud of the resort today. We had a wonderful time on our stay. If we have any suggestions for you it would be around the amenities. We would have like some kind of breakfast at the resort we went to the grocery and purchased some donuts for our stay. If I could afford The Suite that would have been no problem 😊. The other is lake access. I know you probably don’t have room to supply boats (we had a boat at our cabin 50 years ago on our honeymoon) but that’s another story. I wonder if there was a way to work with the local boat renters so access could be arranged through Bootleggers. These are just suggestions and just some thoughts. I hope not to wait another 50 years before returning. My sisters seem interested in seeing the resort so we may be arranging a future trip. Thank you again, Stephen Bernath

The room was beautiful, however, not worth the price, especially considering we didn't interact with any staff during the entire stay. The soap dispensers in the shower are either broken or empty. We also ate at the restaurant. The food was delicious, the dining room was stunning. However, the service made us feel rushed. We don't spend $300 on a dinner to move quickly.

The lodge is wonderful. Service was exceptional. The food and wine was excellent. We are looking forward to another visit.

This was my favorite room with a gorgeous view of the lake, super comfy bed, and all the perfect touches for our short stay. I will definitely be back to enjoy this beautiful resort. Bootleggers Lodge has all you need and everyone is so wonderful! Thank you to Brenda and Jacob for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
